Deans Lodge in Wells required careful and sympathetic refurbishment to ensure that it was suitable for the new Dean of Wells Cathedral. Working closely with all parties involved preserving the existing fixtures and fittings as much as possible to maintain the historical integrity of the building.

The refurbishment of the Grade II listed Old Rectory, in Combe Florey, was carried out in two phases to allow the owners to have a habitable space throughout the works. All materials used on site where sourced to be in keeping with the existing structure and maintain the character of the building.

Alterations and full refurbishment of a Grade II listed building to create a shop
Alteration and refurbishment of the Old Laundry on Grade II listed school site to create a new school shop.
All works were complementary to the original materials used but new services were added to bring the building up to
date e.g. underfloor heating.

Restoration and extension to a Grade I listed building
We have undertaken multiple projects for St Mary's, and on this occasions they entrusted us with alteration and restoration works on this Grade I listed building. This building is used as a dormitory and underwent a full refurbishment, and internal alterations. We also constructed a new large building to the side of the original building which had internal access between the old and new building. Though this new building was modern in design, there was still restrictions to how the finished projects should look.
